Elfenatelier

Today I spent the day in the beautiful Elfenatelier enamelling with Un-Roen Manarata, who is owner of the shops and certified instructor of ArtClay Silver. We enamelled over art clay she made beforehand and over some beads and filigree that is for sale in the shop. If there is enough interest, I will teach some enamelling over silver clay there at the workshop :)

A teaser:

Yours truly :P

    1. Yes! well not very familiar but I know it is similar to this :) I love filigree and I loved enamelling this. Un-Roen gave me two more flowers of filigree and I will enamel them at home.

Enamelling can be done in different techniques, the one used for the filigree is plique-à-jour, there are simpler ones ;)

    1. Wow, what has been going on!! I have been reading in your journal and your other mod account. The “new moderators” are really acting as kids, I cannot believe it… I hope you are reinstated soon.

I saw somewhere you were interested in a Tease Me palette too, wouldn’t you want that one too? ;)

If you just want Brill, that’s perfect too! :D You can see some feedback here:

Some bpal feedback that is unrelated but might interest you as well:

      1. I’ve actually got the parts of the Tease Me palette that I was looking for, so I’m good on that, but thank you for asking :-)
The ebay and MUA feedback looks great! Thanx so much for the links! I’d like to get Brill e/s and add on
“Fade eyeshadow, depotted, with magnet, all broken, $3”
Please wrap each e/s in tissue (toilet paper or kleenex or something like that) before the bubble wrap.
Please invoice me at SqueakDance AT hotmail DOT com

        1. I’ve just invoiced you!

I normally make little sleeves out of thin cardboard, which is similar to what the pro pans come in, and then wrap in bubble wrap, it seems safer to me to hold them between something rigid, but I will do as you ask me :)

          1. Paid :-)
Ah, sleeves of cardboard are pretty good, but I had one shatter that way, so now I’m paranoid. If you’d put the tissue before the cardboard, I’d really REALLY appreciate it.
            Thanx!

There seem to be big problems with the community :( I also forgot to add my feedback so you can see it here:

What is WCC? I really have no idea…

It was stated in the entry, $2
If you would like to send the cash, that would be 12,50 euros, i don’t know how convenient it is to send coins, though…

  1. Hi there, I’m interested in the L’Escarpolette. I could afford $300 (it’s U.S currency?) plus postage, as I live in australia. If you don’t get any other interest please let me know. I think it’s beautiful

      1. I just got to a measuring tape to check the size, and although it’d be perfect in the waist I’ve lost weight and am now too small in the bust and hips :( It’s just so beautiful! Thank you so much for the comments about the peacock dress. It’s such a beautiful creation. I really hope it gets put in other shows so I can wear it some more :)

Love your enamelling by the way

      1. Darn. I was hoping maybe it went out late or something. I haven’t seen it yet. Maybe it’s held up somewhere along the way. Is there any sort of DC# or tracking #? Did it have to be signed for?

        1. No, registered mail here is too expensive so I only offer it for really expensive items. The only thing that can be done is wait I gues :S But I never had a package to the states take so long…

          1. Hey! I wanted to let you know that I just got back from checking my mail, and the package you sent was in there! I haven’t had a chance to look at the e/s and fill out my spreadsheet, but I should be able to do that and leave feedback in the next couple days. I just wanted to let you know that it made it :-)

  2. Beautiful!

I haven’t been able to get this post off my mind for days!! That piece is so beautiful, and it sounds like a lot of fun to do. I wish that sort of project art is available near me, but sadly, I doubt it.

    1. Re: Beautiful!

There aren’t any enamelling classes near you? I think it is faimy easy to find them in the states. What is not so easy apparently is to find someone to teach you plique-a-jour, but when it comes to the other techniques, it shouldn’t be a problem :) I can ask if there is any teacher around your area in the enamelling communities I am in, if you wish :)
